Default Magic Powder -- allergic reaction?

So, I tried Magic Powder last week after reading several threads on here recommending it for removing hair on, uh, the backside.

I did a patch test first like the can recommends, with no reaction. The next day I applied it as directed, and it worked great! I was so impressed because it took all the hair off without any of the burning that products like Nair and other depilatories usually have.

But then, a couple days ago (4 days post-powder), I developed little red bumps all over the area that I'd treated. They don't itch, or hurt, they're just there. All over my bum.

Is this just an allergic reaction to the Magic Powder? Did I maybe do something wrong in the application or removal? Any ideas?
