A nurse told me recently that make up from Bare Essentials is very good and many women do not break out from it. Their foundations include crushed zinc and titanium, which will make UV rays bounce off your skin. It also covers just as well (maybe even better) than MAC. Don't get me wrong, MAC gives great coverage. I've used it for the past year. But I think it's time for a change.

Points: 243.49 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 243.49 | I am a proud member of the cult of Bare Escentuals. It's the only foundation that has evened my skin tone, covered my scarring, and concealed the dark circles under my eyes. I also love using the all over colors like Glee and Warmth to match my mood. It is expensive, but I feel so pretty that its worth it.
ETA: The other thing I like about BE: most of the other foundations I was using were liquid, and would coat the downy hair on my face, which made it stand out more. I don't have that problem with BE.

Has anyone used physicians formula for anything for that matter?

Points: 305.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 305.28 | I have been using the Physician's Formula mineral make-up for a couple weeks and I really like it. I bought a lighter shade to try to blend to get the right color. I don't break out like I did from using all the other stuff - I had been an ALMAY ONLY person for about 10 years - but that all changed when they discontinued the 16 hour make-up I used to use, then I needed something else.
Anyway, I really like the way the mineral make-up covers my blemishes and that I don't really need a lot for my skin to look pretty much flawless. It is around $10 for a compact (at least at Wal-Mart) and I figured it was worth a try. I didn't like the fact that the Neutragena mineral make-up had the brush attached and that you had to "shake it" down onto the bristles. I think you might waste too much...JMO.
Oh - I agree with once the make-up is on, the face is off limits for touching...I never touch my face once my make-up is complete. It is just something that over the years I have gotten used to. It has taken me a long time to get used to the fact that my DH wants to touch my face when he kisses me and my daughter likes to touch my face when I pick her up. With the mineral make-up I notice that it doesn't smudge like the liquid foundation used to. So that is a huge plus! |

The mineral viel is awsome to keep the oilyness away. I hardly have to ouch up the make up as well. I know you can get it at Ulta or on Bare Eccentuals online. I think I am misspelling it though. I would probably google it. Hope this helps!

Points: 103,168.13 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 103,168.13 | I been reading what you other cysters use for make-up and so I went ahead and bought Bare Escentuals Foundation 1.2 Fairly Light 2g Jar off of E-Bay yesterday to try it. I looked on some of the other sites and they were alot more, so I bought it from there to try, should I get Mineral Veil also or will the foundation be ok without using the Mineral Veil after? Another questhion I went and bought the Bare Escentuals Flawless Application Face Brush, now does this really work well with the Foundation? Has anyone tried that shade of foundation? I notice some of you said to make sure you get a shade lighter then you normaly use. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks ladies! I can't wait to get it and see how it works for me. I hope the color I got will be good. |

Points: 11,430.26 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,430.26 | Tip for using Mineral Makeup Im a liquid makeup wearer forever so I like a heavier coverage. I got a flocked sponge to apply mineral makeup and I like it. It covers a bit heavier but not too heavy. I stick the end of the flocked sponge in the minerals and when i apply it on my face i swirl the sponge around in circles. You can also just smooth it on without going in circles. Anyway it gave me the coverage look i wanted and makes pores look smaller. I just got my B.E. full coverage brush from ebay and I like it but I still can see too many pores when I use it.
p.s. you can look up flocked sponge on ebay too. |
