I have been using there foundation and shadows for six years now. LOVE THE STUFF!!!! | I JUST started using the Bare Minerals on Saturday (It is now Monday). My skin already feels different...less breakouts. I use thick cake make up under my eyes (NOTHING I mean NOTHING conceals my under-eye circles) and the Bare Minerals everywhere else. It looks like I have no make up on. It is very light. I try to pack it on and I can not. My rosy cheeks show through for the first time. I used to always cover them up but now I think I rather enjoy having natural blush like cheeks. My nose is kinda red naturally, but I let that show.
I use just a little bit of the warmth...man that stuff is potent.
It does not cover as much to me as normal make-up, but I am so sick of zits. I think my tinted light foundations were making me break out and get my black heads.
I will report back soon. Is is normal to feel your nose looks shiney, even after a lot of mineral veil (the oil excess absorbing powder)?

Points: 1,233.70 Bank: 4,024.89 Total Points: 5,258.59 | Hey ladies! Okay so I'm a total girly girl and I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE makeup. I've tried all kinds and some of worked whiel others have made me break out etc.
MAC: Honestly, do not use MAC. MAC is stage makeup and clogs pores like no other. I loved MAC because the eye shadow colors are very vibrant and everyyyyone seems to be using MAC. however, I'd stay away from it if i had acne. It causes people to break out.
Shiseido: A lot of people say it's made for asian women. a lot of people say it's good but i've heard that it actually causes more blackheads.
If you have acne and you want something that covers your imperfections but isn't heavy and is cakey, i DEFINITELYYY reccommend trying BARE ESCENTUALS. they probably have a Bare Escentuals store in your mall. their makeup is all natural minerals and you can even sleep in it! how amazing?! i've used bare esc. for a while now and i LOVE IT. the makeup goes on naturally but still gets the work done. it's a little pricey, but so is all name brand makeup. right now, bare escentuals is having a start kit box which comes with foundation, bronzer, moisterizer etc in a set for 85$ after tax. you guys should check it out! |

I used my MAC just one day on Sunday and I got a HUGE zit that I had to pop...the kind that hurt. I also had clogged up pores all over my face. Quote:

I just started using BARE ESCENTUALS and had to mix two colors together, but it was worth it. I found out that they started making the color I need and ordered it. (I got the mini kit and then ordered more...). At first I thought it was never enough but I stuck with it and now I use it most days. My acne went down! I pack it on but it does look better than the MAC did. My chiropractor asked me what I was doing...he noticed I looked better. I started getting compliments.
I have BAD acne scars but I have learned to live with them. They are truly ugly. My 9 and 1/2 year old nephew asks me about them..."Aunt AW, why do you have cuts on your face?"
This is after 2 procedures I have had to minimize them! I never had men notice me much before the procedures but afterwards I get much more attention, even though I am waaayyyy fatter. Unfortunately, the scars were THAT BAD. They are not as bad...but I wish I did not have them.
*Sigh*

I have even started using it under my eyes alone. I am so sick and tired of caking on make up.
BTW, I got something called undermining and dermasand done 2 times. My scars are called ice-pick scars. They are so deep that they are only partly diminished.
I could have had a 3rd time but I finally decided God was telling me to accept myself this way. That someday the right guy will come along and it won't matter. So I decided not to do anything else for the scars but live with them.
Perhaps that has made me stronger inside and more compassionate as a person than if I did not have them.
Do you have ice-pick ones? Those are the worst!

I did not see any holes, I was too awestruck by your beauty.
I use the benefit stuff that is clear and goes on like foundation.
My problems are too complex for it alone though...

My pic is in my profile now. My scars hardly ever photograph. For some reason, they do not show up in photos. But boy howdy in real life, you can see them. But mine are really bad.

Here is a list of their stores in Canada. You can probably also order it online. QVC sells it online as well. Which is how I tried it and usually how I order it.
I *highly* recommend the Bare Minerals line. I tried the neutrogena minerals and didn't like that I couldn't control how much and where I put it. With the Bare Minerals line, and the right brushes, it's amazing how good it looks! I love the stuff and swear by it.
BUT...as far as mascara goes...I'm a prescriptives girl! I love prescriptives anyways, but for foundation, I won't use anything but Bare Minerals.
Oh, I have a couple of the QVC fall catalogs for Bare Escentuals. If anyone would like to take a look at them (it's MUCH more accurate for the colors than looking online). Let me know. I'll gladly send them out to you!

They sell some skin care items (which are called Bare Vitamins) as well as some other things so I think that's what the whole deal is.
Hope that helps. |
