Default This makes me so angry!

There are 2 articles in the news right now that make me soooo angry I could scream!!! They are about Russian children who have been adopted and then abused and eventually killed by their adoptive parents. I find it incredible that there are 2 similar cases in the news right now. These children suffered so much before their adoption and then to have this happen! I hope the Russian government doesn't take this as a reason to halt international adoptions... Here are the articles...

I just feel so sad for these innocent children....
*sigh*

I live in Chicago area, and I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday when I heard the news. I just can't imagine someone who have adopted a child only month could committ such act, it's unthinkable for me. Then, I started thinking, as a Knee-Jerk action, would people now want to make adoption even more DIFFICULT than it is now? Will they start to ask future adoption applicant to go through Psycheatric evaluations for the sake of protecting the children? I don't know... I feel so sad for the children....

This is why counselling after adoption is recommended...there isnt enough follow up support for new parents...

Its not easy being handed a running toddler and being expected to be the perfect parent becuz this is all you have wanted for the past however many years..

I am very lucky to have support and lots of it, otherwise although I would never harm my child I think I would be absolutely overwhelmed !!

Adoption is not easy, no matter where you are in the process, but the rewards are beyond anything imaginable if you have the right support

I feel awful for the children, and now the name of adoption once again has gone for a downslide its a damn shame

Yikes! Those stories are awful. It's hard to believe anyone would go through all the red-tape and expense of adopting to abuse a child to death. Those poor kids

As for those burns (second story) being blamed on the Russian mother ... well, I had first and second degree fireworks burns when I was 13 over part of my face and my entire left hand. That happened on July 4, and by the time band camp started in mid-August it was completely healed. The only treatment I had were pain killers, with recommendations not to wash my hair (for several weeks to keep the dirty water off my healing face) or go out in the sun. Those burns happened after that little boy got here. What a tragedy

How truly sickening! They think they are coming to America for a better life and look at the treatment those children recieved. Poor Babies~may God hold them close forever and always. And rain hell and fury on those parents souls.
