Hi, I am not quite from Manchester but nearly...I am from St.Helens which is only about 20 mins away...sort of inbetween Liverpool and Manchester

hello! how you doing? i know st helens vaguely...
im 32, single and a hairy sufferer for the last ten years. i love this site! its so informative, and taught me things my doc didnt even know about pcos.
im on orlistat for my weight and just got vaniqa this week, so no results yet.
tell me a bit about yourself?

Looks like there is only us 2 around this area.

I am 27, diagnosed about 4 years ago
I have most of the PCOS symptoms ,incl..weight gain, acne (resloving), hair loss (also resolving), vertually no AF, without meds.
I am currently ttc no1, had 12 lots of clomid (only O'd twice), had ovarian drilling done in Dec - no great results yet. I am on Metformin too. Waiting for my app. in June then ? more clomid or referal for IUI, and drastically need to loose weight in the meantime, going the gym and trying whatever diet is in fashion this week!!

I too have found this site really helpfull, learning alot from the boards all the time, thinking about starting Vitex next cycle....whenever that may be??

Hey!

I'm in Manchester too. Well, most of the time - I'm at university up here.

I'm 21, officially diagnosed when I was 17, though I'd been having symptoms since I was 13. I've been on dianette for three years now and I love it. It keeps my cycle regular, it's helped clear up my skin (still get the occasional spot but they're bearable) and in the past year or so I've lost about a stone in weight.

I actually found this site a couple of years ago and it really helped me understand PCOS when my doctors were being utterly useless, basically telling me to go away and come back when I wanted to have a baby. I've just started coming back to the boards in the past day or so.

This probably doesn't count because i live in Devon, but i am from Manchester, lived there until I was 18, my family are all still up there !! We only get to come back to visit about once a year though.

Well, its quiet up north then!
VANIQA is a cream thet is supposed to reduce hair growth in the wrong places, not much change with me yet tho....
If you are in Manchester, I run the Grand Central Pub on Oxford Street, near the university, but be warned WE LOVE HEAVY METAL AND WE LOVE IT LOUD!!!!

I'm not in Manchester, but I'm just under an hour away across the Pennines in Wakefield.

I seem to end up on work courses in Manchester's Malmaison on a semi-regular basis. Gorgeous rooms, but the food's a bit rich for me.

i used to go out with a lad from bolton- dont miss him, but i used to enjoy shopping there! i went in the alma pub a few times, im a big metal and rock fan!
