Hi,
I am brand new to PCOS soulcysters and I am so grateful you guys exist.
Here are my questions:
Since the age of 18 I went to a therapist (man) he put me on tranquilizers, antidepressants and told me alcohol helps. Now, I stuck because not only do I have to overcome these issues, BUT I still need help with my PCOS. Any suggestions?
(PLEASE don't day to report the doc. I already thought of that but he has all of my files and I don't trust him).
BTW, do you know if you are on meds can you still get pregnant and have a healthy baby?
Thanks for letting me into your group - I've been so alone for sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long.
T.
Short of you going to the DR and getting some help for PCOS, I don't know of anything much else that you can do.
It would for sure be a great idea to read here and learn as much as you can! This place is great!!
WELCOME TO SC!! If you need anything PM me!

I'm sorry for the awful experience you had with this therapist. I also hope you can see another doc. :Hugs:
Meds: I'm not sure if you were meaning antidepressants, but I took prozac while I was trying to get pregnant, during my pregnancy, and during breastfeeding. I had no problems with it. I took metformin following my diagnosis w/ PCOS, and it helped me in many ways: I lost weight, my periods became more normal, and I got pregnant.
We're here for you cyster!
Hugs
Jenny
