Default Mary's PCOS Treatment Research

(I first posted this in the Other Treatments section, but this is a better place)

I have compiled information on PCOS treatments from more than 250 clinical studies. It was too much information to post to the forum, so I made a web page for it (There are no ads, it's just a simple page). If you have any comments, please post them here. I am here to learn too, so if you see anything that is amiss in my information, I will appreciate you letting me know.

Exclamation That's amazing!!

Wow -- you did an amazing job! Perhaps we should all print that out and take that to doctors who are clueless or misdiagnose us! I hope someone makes that a sticky....

Default brainstorming

I was pondering the yeast connection to PCOS and my nutritionist has suggested many of Marykate's offerings as well as thinks there might be a correlation between them for some people. so this is my input
I am currently on a yeast free/wheat free diet along with multivitamins super milk thistle yeast fighters and cal-d glucarate
and I have lost 7 lbs in less than 1 month, getting my energy back and I have had a period every month (i was on sporanax for mold allergies but my ENT took me off and started me on the yeast/wheat free diet.) Maybe this is a connection- yeast causes improper glucose breakdown as well as improper nutrient digestion in intestines and cells leading to pcos, possibly or at least a major factor.
just a bit of brainstorming (which is more than most dr's are doing) not meant to be bitter sounding

Please forgive me but I do not have an attention span or patience level to read your website and understand it clearly. What I did want to clarify is that in your "things to avoid" section, you mentioned bcp's and metformin.
Thise 2 medications are the only things I am on and I am confused and maybe scared now that I should be avoiding both?
I want to stop taking the bcp's because they make my breasts tender and am seeking a possible healthy approach to balancing out my hormones better. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I'd just like to point out that I work as a proofreader for a medical journal, and have read less thorough reviews of research, in a similar format, that have been published in scientific journals. So well done!

As to the yeast comment... I had horrible horrible allergy and sinus problems and after years of the Dr not being able to find out what was wrong my mother bought me the book the yeast connection i read it became convinced that was my problem and found a product called Three-lac. Within a month my problems ceased and I havent had an allergy or sinus problem in over 2 years! If you search this to buy it DONT pay over 49.99 There are independant dist. on this and some charge retail value of somewhere around $65. You can get this on numberous websites including ebay. i had tried other pro-biotics which I am sure you tried as well but none worked anywhere as well as this one did
