I just received an emailed from Deb's dh....

MATTHEW ASHER
was born at 1:30am on the 16th December 2005.
He weighs 3.6kg (just under 8lb) and is 50cm long.

They are both doing well.....

WOO HOO!!!!!! I'm so excited.....and a little emotional....what a little blessing he is...

Thanks everyone!! I just got home today and I'm pretty tired but well. I had a great labour and survived my hospital stay (gee I hate hospitals, even good ones!!). I've started on the bottle - my poor, poor sore nipples - and am feeling MUCH better now. I ended up with pretty major exhaustion in the hospital and the midwives were getting concerned that I was going to head in the PND direction again, so I opted to give a bottle and get him to settle for long enough for me to at least have some sleep. I'm looking forward to tonight without having half a million people trapse through my room at all hours and no beeping of buzzers to keep me awake!!! Matt is such a dear sweet little boy with a nice CALM temperament that is just a joy. He's got 'old man' eyes that are very intense... Kath, my acupuncturist was quite excited about him being a full moon baby too!

Anyhoo, I'm off for a sleep now (maybe, baby sleep permitting!),
