Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I just finished my third round of clomid. On the first cycle of 50 mg I didn't produce any mature follicles. On the second cycle (100 mg) I produced 4 mature follicles. I didn't get the trigger shot because my ob was very concerned about multiples and was sure that I would ovulate on my own. I did not. So I moved onto third cycle of clomid (100 mg again). This time I had 6 mature follicles at time of ultrasound.

At this point the ob informs me that it's possible that some of these follicles are left over from the previous cycle and that we may need to take a month off of clomid. I asked if she has seen this before and she said she personally hadn't. I guess this is what I get for going the cheap route? I'm thinking of going back to the RE that initially diagnosed me; however, I have had to pay zero through the ob, which has been very nice.

Has anyone else had the experience of producing mature follicles but still not ovulating? I'm wondering if we should try 75 mg on the next round so I'll have a better chance of getting the trigger shot if there are less follicles? I'm so tired of experimenting! Ugh! The current plan is to check for follicles on Day 3 and determine if I will do clomid again or take a month off to allow the follicles to reabsorb.
