Heidi - Thanks for that verse! I can just imagine "the singing!" You go girl!! LOL God does enjoy it I'm sure!

I want to share again something God spoke to me on today while reading "Purpose Driven Life." Pastor Warren was talking about the fruits of the Spirit and how they are produced in us, slowly, through trying circumstances. He said that we face times when we are tested to see if we will reveal the opposite quality that God is wanting to produce in us. Maybe you are waiting for an answer to a prayer request and God is wanting to produce patience in you, but you are fighting a spirit of impatience!
Hope that makes sense...because the point really blessed me today!!!

Today's verse: Hebrews 4:16 - "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Heidi - What great verses! I hear you on the "joyful noise" thing - I know God loves it when I sing my heart out to Him, but sometimes I wonder how much it blesses the people sitting next to me.

(Oh...I just realized...that is an awful pun. I "hear" you...) I hope you are doing well! Praying for you and Josh.

Heather - I am so blessed by what you've shared from "Purpose Driven Life"!! Those are great truths. Hope you are well!

This weekend has been a great time of spiritual reflection and refreshment for me. I think I mentioned - we have started going to a new church, and it is AWESOME! I have been learning so much, and it is so good to be somewhere that I can praise God with all my heart. Plus the series that the pastor is doing is so, so applicable to my life. God is so good! Hope everyone has an INCREDIBLE, ENCOURAGING day!

I haven't posted here in over a month. I feel like I'm neglecting alot of things in my life for my desire and need to be a mother. Sometimes I feel like I'm praying for my own selfish reasons and desires. I should focus on praying for family, friends, and others in need. I need to learn to direct my energy on being with my Father and not NEEDING something from my Father. I hope this makes sense to you all. I am appoligizing now for neglecting everyone here and hope that you'll forgive my selfish heart.

Jennifer~ I am good! Thanks for asking. I have been able to spend sometime enjoying the great outdoors. And will have more opportunities to do so this week. I think it is a great time to reflect on faith to.

ruth ~ Good to have you back! Yes, your thoughts are very understandable. We do focus on our needs a lot, but God completely understands. He knows our hearts, and will give us our desires in HIS time. I just have trouble with patience and waiting for His blessing! LOL

Ellie ~ I love to spend time outdoors too! Something about it makes you feel so near to God.

Jennifer~ I am so happy you had a great weekend. What did you think of Dr. Kennard? I am ready to do another IVF, but this little thing called money is holding us back, plus fear. I really hope you have nothing but success there.

Rachel~ Honey! I missed you!!! Really I did, it is hard to keep up with everyone while TTC, so we totally understand.

Ellie~ Yay, back from vacation... We all missed you too.

Heather~ I am doing great. How are you??? You always have such great messages.

So I wanted to share with you the names of two Christian Infertility books I found on the internet. I cannot find any infertiliy book in Christian bookstores, but there is a website called Alibris that has every book under the sun. I called a daily devotional for couples and a book called Empty Womb, Aching Heart which is personal stories of hope and help. The other book I wanted to reccomend is called Baby Hunger.

Here is my message for tonight.

"My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice, bestowing wealth on those who love me an making their treasures full."
Proverbs 8:19-21

One last message I wanted to share from my pastor. Think Great Thoughts and Great Things Will Happen In Your Life. God wants us to think BIG!!!!

Heather~Thanks for welcoming me back and being so understanding. It has been a tough journey and I often feel like I'm faltering. I'm hoping to be more active on this thread this month and the months to come. Being focused on the Lord is the key ingredient in everything we do. (((hugs)))

Heidi~Thanks for welcoming me back. I've been missing you too! How is your green thumb treating you? I am really wondering if the Met is helping you. I have often thought to ask my doctor about it, but shy away from trying to play doctor to a doctor..lol! (((hugs)))

Rachel~ So far the Met has done nothing but make me very sick!!! I have had dizzy spells, palpitations, and diarrhea. My doctor also didn't want to put me on it, but I begged and she said that if it doesn't work for me within 6 months that I can't have it refilled because it would be pointless. As of now, I have had no AF since my failed IVF cycle.

Heidi - I really like Dr. Kennard! She seems to have a good sense of humor, which is always helpful. When she asked us the questions about street drug usage, DH totally dead-panned an answer about how we're having to cut back on our cocaine usage b/c gas prices are so high - and Dr. Kennard totally played along. She didn't miss a beat; it was hysterical! I can't imagine how difficult it must be to face another IVF - both emotionally and financially. I am praying for you, most especially that God will bless you with the baby that you long for!!! (PS - Thanks for sharing the book suggestions - I will definitely check those out.)

TTC is such a hard thing - I totally understand what you mean. I am praying for you!

Ellie - That sounds like fun! I think I saw that you're in Minnesota? I've never been there, but I've heard that it's beautiful!

Heather - What an awesome verse! Hope you are well!

Here's my verse for today:

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." ~ James 5:16

And along with that verse...a confession and a prayer request. This verse was part of the message at church on Sunday, and the pastor encouraged anyone in need of prayer to come down and receive it. I felt such a tug on my heart to go, but I was afraid of how DH would react (he doesn't do well with stuff like that).

So here's my confession: I am such a daydreamer. I would rather hide in my bedroom and daydream than do just about anything else. God has revealed to me time and again that daydreaming about being someone else and having different circumstances is rebellion against His plan for me, and keeps me from using my time and talents for His glory. But I can't seem to break free. Especially since we have started going to this new church, I can't seem to keep my head out of the clouds. Part of me wonders if this is an attack from Satan to keep me from growing and maturing in Christ, and finding my place to serve. ARRGGGHH!! It is so frustrating. Anyway, would you ladies please pray for me to be free of this, and to be able to keep my thoughts on good and true things?? Thank you so much!!

Sorry...this is so long! I've had too much tea today, the small amount of caffeine has added up to make me a very chatty girl!

Jennifer~You are so cute, being chatty... I am normally always chatty unless I am feeling down. I am so glad that you both liked Dr. Kennard. She does have a sense of humor and she also has a very sincere heart. Do you have a plan of action yet?

Heidi ~ Glad that you are doing well! Love that verse and thought from your pastor! Sometimes I feel guilty dreaming big, but I don't think we could ever "out-dream" the plans God has for us!

Jennifer ~ LOL - Thanks for sharing that confession. Honestly, that is me too!

I find myself thinking about where I could be now if different situations had worked out. But obviously, God doesn't want that, so we have to stay focused on HIS will. And that is a definite struggle from time to time. I will pray for you because I know exactly how it is!

I too believe God places desires in our hearts and that he puts them there to fulfill them... Amen to your message.
