My Mood: Points: 8,701.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 8,701.31 | Favorite Snacks: Carrots w/ Trader Joes Eggplant Hummus (2T for 0 pts or 1/4 c for 1 point!), Apple w/ light string cheese (2pt), fruit & hard boiled egg, celery w/ 1T peanutbutter, Mini-bags of 94% ff kettle corn, plain non-fat greek yogurt mixed with berries and Stevia extract (6oz for 1pt- I sometimes top it with Fiber One cereal too- still 1pt.)
I only get 21 pts per day so I've gotta be creative and conservative.
I recently decided to cut WAAAAYYYY back on my meat/poultry consuption. I've gone from eating meat 2-3 times a day to only having it 2-3 times a week! This is my first week of doing that and I feel amazing Don't know if it's going to make a difference on the scale, but my reasons aren't truely scale related anyway. Plant based foods are better for fertility (except soy, but I don't eat soy products anyway) . . . it will be interesting if the scale moves faster though. This 1/2 lb per week average gets old- lol

Breakfast:
bowl of cereal with skim milk (5 points)
Lunch:
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (5 points)
Baby Carrots (0 points)
Dr. Pepper (4 points)
Dinner:
Potato Casserole (7 points)
What do you do when you have that many points left at the end of the day?
Marsalilass ~ Make sure you are still getting enough Vitamin B12. Most people get enough B12 from eating meat, eggs, and poultry. The reason I caution you on this is because I had a vitamin B12 deficiency (even though I ate plenty of meat). The dificiency caused me to have a tingling in my feet that took my doctor and me 6 months to figure out the cause of it. I even saw a nuerologist. About half way through that 6 months, I was playing basketball and as I was running, my legs turned rubbery and then one gave out on me. I twisted my knee, tore my ACL, and completely messed up my Meniscus. I just had surgery to fix my ACL and I will probably have to have another one to fix my Meniscus. It is not fun, and I would not wish this on anybody, so I just want you to be careful!

My Mood: Points: 1,434.51 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,434.51 | Marsalilass - I am a vegetarian, and I second Sarahsue's urging to make sure you get plenty of B12 (I take supplements).
Saturday is my weigh in for my first week, I haven't weighed myself at all all week, and I'm kind of excited about what my current weight will be (although maybe I shouldn't get too excited, just in case my weight is the same?)!
I am having SUCH a hard time getting workouts in. Every morning for several months now, I have been setting my alarm at 6 am, only to actually get up at 7.40 am!! After work I am just exhausted (from what, I don't know) and although I was able to work out several days last week, this week has been a total bust for me! Any ideas on how to improve my energy level?
Food wise, I think I'm doing pretty well! I didn't realize you HAD to eat all of your points, but a few of you mentioned it here. Plus it kind of got me worried the first couple of days when I struggled to eat my points.
Can someone please explain Activity Points for me? Are we aiming for a certain number of Activity Points? If you gain activity points, does this factor into your food points some how, or are they totally separate?

I am working on cutting out drinks like this completely, but this will be good in the meantime. I also found a peanut butter that is made with ONLY peanuts! I've been having a hard time finding even a natural one without sugar or salt...and this one is locally made here in Missouri. The small things sure can make you cheer! =)

Points: 546.61 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 546.61 | I have stuck to weight watchers for four days now, I think thats the longest I have ever been on any diet! I am struggling to make healthy choices though still, I want to use all my points on low point sweeties and things. I am going to a birthday party tonight, so its a bit worrying because I only know the point value of things if I am near my computer.

My Mood: Points: 8,701.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 8,701.31 | Sarah—Thanks for your concern. I still eat eggs and dairy every day and I do still eat meat, just not every day. I haven’t gone Vegan (I need my cheese!!!). I’ve been thinking about getting a B12 suppliment anyway, though. About using your points- how on EARTH are you satisfied on that tiny amount of food? Lol- If I ate what you ate yesterday I’d be starving all day long (except maybe with the casserole). Why not try eating some mid-day snacks of low-fat string cheese and I don’t see any fruits and veggies in there. I never have 9 points left at the end of the day so I can’t really help ya with that. I’d probably use them on something unhealthy like ice cream- lol- You don’t seem to be getting in all your Good Health Guidelines- Mermaid-girl—I will get some B12 suppliments today. I’m not completely vegetarian (or Vegan) though just trying to concentrate on plant-based foods. I just feel better that way and I’m not a huge meat fan anyway. As far as workouts go the one thing that worked for me is not allowing myself to go home between work and the gym. I pack my gym back before I leave in the morning so I can go straight to the gym after work- NO EXCUSES! If I go home before the gym, it’s pretty much guaranteed that I’m going to stay there- lol. Yes you need to eat all your points! At least all your DAILY points- the Activity Points and Weekly Points are optional, but I’ll tell you, I’ve been on WWers since September and I’ve always had the best losses when I use all my points. On weeks when I don’t use them much, I don’t have as good of a loss or I gain. Play around with them and experiment to see what works for you. Not eating enough can slow your metabolism if you are working out . . . . a lesson in exercsise physiology. Lori—Congrats on finding the peanutbutter! I can’t live without the stuff. I have some every day I get a Trader Joes brand that is organic and made with just peanuts too. Yummo! Shiv—It’s hard to know points at first, but once you get more used to the program you’ll get better at calculating in your head. Do you have any idea what they might have there? You could look it up before hand and then plan what you’re going to indulge in :-) Congrats on sticking around for 4 days! One thing that helps with the desire to eat only low-point sweets is to concentrate on getting your Healthy Guidelines in. It really helps keep you satisfied. I don’t allow myself any snacky foods until I’ve reached all my Guidelines for the day.
Not much new here- just hangin’ . . . I’ve been trying to save all my Weekly Points for the weekend and I’ve been successful so far. I have a fairly heavy dinner planned though so I might end up using some tonight if I can’t get any Activity Points.
Keep up the great work!

My Mood: Points: 9,767.26 Bank: 5,703,404.21 Total Points: 5,713,171.47 | Hi Girls....
Can I join you? I have been doing WW since the beginning of March, and have lost 12lbs to far. I would like to lose 30 total, but my first mini-goal is to lose 11.5 lbs. I am on flex, but have looked at the core plan....what plans do you guys like the best? I could kick myself, I was down to lower than my pre-pregnancy weight after having DS, and somehow gained 30 lbs....(funny how that happens when you eat crap, eh?) I would really like to get the weight down so that I am healthier for him, and also to try to have another child, hopefully starting end of summer....It's great to have this kind of support here! Look forward to getting to know you all!
Anna

Points: 546.61 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 546.61 | I may or may not have gone way over my points allowance for today... I possibly did. I had 13 points to go to the party with and I had..
3 bites of of chicken,
salad,
3 chocolates,
a glass of red wine,
a bite of cake,
half a handful of pretzils,
3 pringles
I was writing down EVERYTHING in my organiser as soon as I ate it... and the one glass of wine was so difficult.. even the priest was wasted. (and dancing.. my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard lol)

I would like to join in. I have done WW in the past and done well. 3 years ago I lost 50lbs then I decided to quit smoking. I gained back the 50 and added a few friends.
I was dx with diabetes earlier this year. They have done a mixture of drugs and the Avandia made me gain weight no matter how hard I tried to lose and exercise. I am now on Byetta and the weight has been falling off this first 2 weeks.

Shiv87 ~ I don't know if you went over your points or not. I have the hardest time counting points when I am snacking. In our staff room at work, there are almost always goodies, and when I eat them other than at lunch time, I have a real hard time remembering to right them down later. Good for you for at least keeping track of what you ate!

Lisa - Good job quitting smoking! That's a huge improvement for one's health right there, and such a hard thing to do. Good luck losing the rest of the weight!
All - I did my weekly weigh in today -- I lost 5 lbs!!! (5.2 to be exact). I'm so excited -- I'm way more motivated to work out now! Next week should be better. Yay! I also got my gold star at WW today!

I joined WW three weeks ago and Tuesday will be my 3rd weigh-in. So far I'm down 7.2 pounds.
I'm really short, so we'll see what the final goal is. For my height it is 99 - 120, but I made it down to 128 on SBD a few years ago and felt pretty comfortable, so we'll see how it goes.
I was feeling aweful last night- had a cold-allergy-sinus thing going on for like 6 weeks now, so anyway. I only ate a 15 of my 25 points yesterday and did a lot of walking on errands around town. I also did some housecleaning, but not enough. Today, I will go for a short run and errands and do laundry which is 3 flights of stairs down in the basement.
So Far my stats (with clothes on)
SW 170/162.8/153 (short term= my 10%) long term to be determined soon. Probably around 120.
