I know I have thought about doing it after I had this one of course.
Or being an egg donor. I guess just the fact that so many men are out there willing to give a part of themselves inorder for so many of us to make a family, it just moves me.
April I am constantly thinking about you girl and wondering how you are doing. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for.

April, I would be totally willing to be a surrogate for you but I don't think I even could, because of my APS. I am pretty sure that would be an automatic disqualifier for the program.
i have told DH several times I would be willing to be a surrogate and at first he said "You are insane" but now I think he sees the reasoning behind it. I know it would be hard but also know I have the physical and mental strength to do it, if it weren't for the other immune system issues.
Call your local RE's office and ask about it (maybe not the RE you just worked with, if you aren't happy with him/her) and also, you may wish to work with an adoption or surrogacy attorney, who may have some resources for you...
We all adore you and hope your dreams come true very soon!
as of now were seeing if dh's sister is still offering ( she offered long ago ) . And since were using donor anyways, and apparently my eggs arent up for the chalenge, she would be a perfect match.
Ill keep you posted!

Hi, April. Have you found any info yet? Have you found a surrogate yet? DH and I have dicussed surrogacy and we feel every family should have a chance to have the child they deserve and want to love. I think a lot of people find this issue a bit taboo, but I'm all for it!
In fact, I would definatly be a surrogate to a family who can't conceive on their own.
I'm curious to know if you've found any info.

alen- Our potential surro mom backed out ( mikes sister ) we need a traditional surro ( her egg our donor sperm ) and she changed her mind.
I can see good and bad.
Washington ( where i live ) is a no pay state. We cannot legally pay a surro for anything other than medical and legal fees.. so its gonna be a hard haul.
My mom would do it in a heart beat but my hubby doesnt want that - ugh!
So --- im praying.
Until then we remain hopeless and hurt.
I hope you bless a family by that huge gift someday! only those who have been through IF hell can truely know pain of it all.
There hasnt been a day with out tears-- but im searching for the sun!!

Like others I have thought about doing egg donations but I dont think I could do surrogacy just because I have to have c sections. I'm working on my 3rd one(csec) right now. Plus, I tend to get really attached to the babies I'm carrying. I looked into egg donation awhile back when I was in Chicago and it was my impression that they wouldnt take mine because I have PCOS/IR. Am I wrong in thinking that?
I'd definitely donate eggs to a cyster without a second thought.
