MD's dont take me seriously! I'm giving up.

I live in Boston area and I have had 2 MD's that dont seem to know what to do for me. I have PCOS (diagnosed w/ labs and ultrasound). The ONLY treatment they have ever offered me was Metformin-they stopped at around 500mg (b/c I had bad GI symptoms) and then they just sort of dropped me. Are there any MD's in this area that someone can recommend-that will stick with me and help me with treatment. Ive been scanning so many profiles here and see that their ARE other options. I didnt even get DIET instructions or anything. I will keep surfing the site but this is SO overwhelming. Meanwhile...Ive ballooned to 65# overweight and I shave every morning like a MAN ... UGH. Please help

I know just how you feel!! I'm so sorry that you are going through this it is so frustrating, the shaving part really gets to me and the weight gain.

Ok my OBGYN that was pretty knowledgable about PCOS, Dr. Elton Fennell just moved to boston, i just dont know where. While he may not be ablt to completely help you, he can get you started and send you to a endocrinologist if need be. I like him alot.
