Points: 6,338.01 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,338.01 | Was measuring 3wks ahead now a week behind???? I'm so confused!! When I was 30wks the doc measured my stomach at 33wks & did an u/s which also showed baby measuring at 33wks. When I was acually at 33wks he measured my stomach at 36wks & did another u/s which showed baby measuring at 36wks. I went in today actually at 35 wks and stomach measured at 34 wks. Huh?????? He didn't do an u/s today. Two weeks ago he had me sign labor consent forms and preregister at hospital since I was already measuring at 36 wks. I was expecting to be measuring at 38 wks today and thinking I only had about 2wks left. Why the huge difference in weeks now. I've conistantly been measuring 3 wks ahead for 2 months now all of a sudden I'm measuring a week behind and 2 wks smaller than last appt. Someone please explain??? He also checked my cervix today and said I haven't dilated any but cervix had softened.

Same with baby measurement, even if you baby were to measure 38wks, doesn't mean you don't still have 5+weeks left of being pregnant.

I wouldn't worry about it!

Some authors I read said stomach measurement was outdated and not as reliable as things like ultrasound growth measurements. Baby's position can change it quite a bit as well as baby "dropping."
