Question Meat Aversion on Met?

Hi! I'm a newbie and have been browsing this forum for some answers.

Lately, I can't seem to handle any kind of meat products, not even fish. I just nauseous and lose my appetite.

Well, I lose my appetite a lot, and all I seem to be able to eat is bread or cereal. I know those are not the best choices!

Yeah--I still eat meat but not as much. My brother lived with us for a little while and he is a vegetarian so we quit eating meat altogether mostly and now I think I can honestly say that I could live without meat even though he has moved out. I started taking met during that time--and now I just don't crave chicken like I used to. I think met can make you have an adversion to lots of food--except I seemed to have gained weight and not lost anything. So, I don't know. But its possible...

Definitely have some food aversions here, not just meat.. Anything I tried eating the first few days I was on the met, I still can't stand the thought of. I remember the first week I was on the met, my mum cooked a full roast of pork with all the trimmings, to this day I can't even smell pork without feeling nauseous. Strangely I have the same with fresh bread. At the moment the only meat I can say I'll eat and enjoy is freshly roasted chicken. I've also found that since I've been on the met, if I cook.. I need to wait at least an hour before I get my appetite back enough to eat what I've made, the smell alone makes my appetite disappear.. but with my flatmates, that one hour wait usually means I go hungry

OMG..my hubby and I used to cook our own baked catfish. All of a sudden, once I started met, I couldnt even stand to look at it. It triggered this immediate sense of nausea. I can eat other meat as long as I dont see it being cooked. Chicken for a while made me sick too. I NEVER used to be like that.

The only meat that affects me is processed meats such as Sizzlers sausages (not sure if that is an NZ product) I'm not a particulary big meat eater anyway, chicken, beef and pork is more or less my meat diet.

Meat isn't an issue for me, but nuts sure are. I normally love nuts - expecially pistachios. But now just the smell puts me off my kibble. In fact, I notice that my appetite in general is much less these days.

I had a big aversion to certain meats for awhile-even hamburgers, which are my favorite! I still can barely stand the thought of shrimp most of the time, which is one of the few seafoods I enjoy. These aversions seem to come and go though, so perhaps you will have times where you can eat meat and others where you won't. Not too bad in some cases for me considering it's good to keep red meat eating to a minimum.

My meat aversion comes and goes. I didn't realize anyone else had it. Unsually even only the idea of meat does it. *shudder*

How funny, I thought I was losing my mind. I too have had random meat aversions since starting MET 2.5 months ago. But it is frustrating because the whole essence of low carb, low GI is eating meat....hmmm, what to do

Exactly!!

Some days for me, it's any kind of protein. On those days, I end up eating cereal or pb toast.
