I've been debating whether or not to spend the money on a Medic Alert bracelet. I am now a Type 2 Diabetic, but (according to gyno) do not have PCOS. I'm on metformin.
I've been looking at tags online, and they're all a) ugly, b) expensive, or c) both.
Is it important to get one? And, if so, can anyone reccommend sites with NON-ugly bracelets?

I have one...I am type 2 on metformin and byetta, allergic to penicillian and iodine, so I have one. I found a website that has beautiful bracelets. Its www.laurenshope.com. I wear it everyday and I have had a lot of compliments. Not only are they beautiful, but the tags can be changed out if your situation changes. I've had to order a new tag because my doctor changed up my medications (only took two days to get new tag). Another good thing about them is that it only took a few days to get my bracelet. I ordered a bracelet from another company (before I found laurens hope) and requested it to be rushed and it took over a month to get it. I was so mad because i was going on a trip and needed it in about two weeks just in case something happened. I threw that bracelet away and got one from laurens hope. The customer service at lauren's hope was great. They were glad to get my business unlike the place I got my first bracelet. I hope this helps.

Glad I could help...They are great!! Great customer service and a great website. They actually care. I called the other company once and the person on the phone could've cared less. I wish I could remember the name of the company, but they are a very well known company and have been around a while. They've forgotten why they have a business to begin with. Lauren's Hope is great and they keep adding new items. They actually care and want the business. I am glad I could help...have fun shopping.
