ok ladies I need your expertise. I saw a new dr today. He is supposed to be an expert on PCOS. He said since I have been taking the met for 2 years and my cycles aren't regular I need to stop taking it, get an ultrasound in 3 months and then start a drug that started with a g and end with ines... I can't remember what he said. Anyone know what he is talking about?
If you were taking metformin for insulin resistance, he shouldn't take you off of it, imo.
If you're ttc, then I would think it was Gonadotropin, as August mentioned. No clomid first? Interesting.
If you're not ttc, I'm not sure what it could be, sorry.

Did you ever try clomid while on met? Some find that if they're clomid resistant that met actually helps. I was one of them; ovulated only once out of like 4 times. Then when on met and ovulated every time. Wish I had been monitored better and got IUIs at the time though.
Good luck with the new meds! Injectibles might be just what you need.
