Default Melatonin Question....

I know it can help you fall asleep, but can it help you wake up in the morning? I've been trying to research this, cuz I can fall asleep, but no matter how much sleep I get, I can't wake up. Anyone have any info?

According to my acupuncturist melatonin can leave you a bit sleepy in the morning. He has me take 5-HTP which converts to seratonin which then converts to melatonin. Because it "makes itself" in the natural progression of the 5-HTP you dont end up with too much.

Only time he ever had me take melatonin was to help get over jet lag.

PS **DO NOT TAKE 5-HTP IF YOU ARE TAKING AN SSRI UNLESS YOU CHECK WITH YOUR DR FIRST**
