I finally received the breavement picture package (which we requested) from the hospital yesterday. I think my eyes are still swollen from all the tears. It was a very nice package of different pictures of Matthew.
Also, they included two poems that were written from the child's perspective. They had one for the Mother and one for the Father. They brought me to tears. When my husband came home from work, I gave him the packet and he looked at the pictures, and then he read his poem....he was left crying.
We held each other and just bawled our eyes out.

Diana,
It is so hard to get through these things, but each time is a healing step that we have to take. I'm so glad your husband was with you and "with" you emotionally for this one. I think I was about this far from our loss when the death certificate came in the mail. Oh, and of course the baby samples, formula and so forth. Let the tears flow, and you'll be stronger.
Many hugs for both of you,
Sheri

Thank you ladies. Your kind words of support always help me through. I am really happy that I have those pictures. I can see who he would have resembled most...my husband!! It's just amazing.
Later that evening, we went to see my 9 month old niece who always makes me feel better. She is truly a miracle baby after everything her mother went through to have her. She's at that stage where everything makes her cry...so i told her "baby, i know just how you feel."
But then there are the smiles and the giggles..... and that pulls me through.
Thanks again!
