I think I have a 'short' vagina and I hate things touching my cervix. I tried tampons when I was much younger but could never get them inserted far enough so I've always just used pads. It sounds like the cup sits quite a bit lower than a tampon needs to... can anyone confirm? | |

The cup is a couple of inches long, so I suppose if your cervix is VERY low you probably wouldn't be able to get it in high enough to be comfortable... like, the end of it would have to poke out to accomodate a low cervix. JUst guessing. But, I've not heard of that problem... Vaginas are big and flexy LOL.

Points: 8,197.86 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 8,197.86 | I loved my Divacup (but I only got to use it for one cycle before I ended up getting pregnant last month!)
I was disappointed/concerned when my neighbour told me she can't use hers anymore b/c she was getting recurring bladder infections. Her Dr told her this can be a side effect for some women since the cup can press on the urethra & stop the bladder from emptying fully. Dammit why is nothing ever perfect!?
Another girlfriend who I convinced to try the cup says she can feel it pressing on something inside, maybe her urethra, & it feels uncomfortable for her. I do know what she means, I felt it too, like it was a little too big in there or something... maybe it's the pressure it needs to exert around the rim to make a tight seal to prevent leaks.
Anyone have any bladder issues with the DivaCup?

Anyone have any bladder issues with the DivaCup? | I was having major bladder issues for the first 3 days I tried to use my DivaCup. I literally couldn't pee. I was trying and nothing was coming out. I finally discovered that it was because the cup wasn't inserted properly for me. It took some tinkering, but by the end of my first period with the cup I had it all figured out. Hopefully I'll remember what I did when it comes time to use it again. |

I also hear the UK Mooncup is quite a bit shorter than the others. Too bad it's twice as much! But maybe I'll spring for it. |
