I'm kind of mad...I ordered mine DECADES ago and it hasn't come in.. I've had 2 AF's since then, so I called and they said my order had never been "completed" or something of that nature. I don't know. I think I'll try ordering mine from a different site or something and see if that works better.

I ordered mine from South Coast Shopping and had it the same week. Here's the link: http://www.southcoastshopping.com/?C...FQ0Bswodel_ICg

MarianneUnfaithfull, there are a bunch of websites that talk about insertion. Here's a good link: http://community.livejournal.com/men...ps/453392.html

The basic "u" fold works for me after I got used to it. I'm on my second period with the diva cup and absolutely love it! It makes periods much easier, and I probably have already made up the money spent on it without having to buy tampons/pads for two periods.

I'm on day 1 of my 2nd cycle with the Diva Cup and I still can't get the damn thing to work! I'm so incredibly frustrated it's not funny. By the end of my last cycle I thought I had finally gotten the hang of it. Apparently not, because I'm not doing anything different and it's like I might as well be using nothing at all...it's leaking like crazy!

What frustrates me more is the fact that it sounds like most of the girls on this thread got it to work perfectly for them on the first couple of tries and absolutely love it. What the hell is wrong with me? I feel broken or something!

sgordon, definitely check out the livejournal link that aimes posted. using different folds makes all the difference in the world. also, when i insert it (using either the origami or punch fold) i kind of spin or twist it a little bit to make sure that it's popped open all the way. you can also run a finger around it as well to make sure there's a proper fit.

there's definitely a learning curve, but it makes such a difference once you figure out what works for your own body.

HippieMama, that is the most frustrating part of all. I've tried the different folds, I've tried letting it pop open when its halfway in and shoving it the rest of the way up there, I've spun that sucker 'till I'm blue in the face and nothing seems to be working for me. I want this to work so badly! I want that freedom that everyone is talking about...but at the moment I am more bound by this thing than any tampon I ever used. At least with the tampons I knew exactly what to expect. I feel right now that this thing is a total crapshoot!

I'm so sorry sgordon! I wonder what is causing it to not seal? Don't give up, keep practicing.

South Coast Shopping is where I ordered mine from. It was cheaper there than anywhere else. There was appearantly some problem using my dad's debit card, though. It's not like there wasn't enough money in the bank or whatever, it was the way we tried to use it.. like i entered in the wrong information or something.

Yes, I got the size 2 (the bigger one), because, although I'm under 30 I've had a baby. I've done some research and my problem is either a) it's not sealing or b) I'm not putting it in the right spot.

I've done some digging (literally), and I can't seem to find my cervix to make sure the opening of the cup is at least in the general vicinity of where it should be. I think my next step is to just shove it up there in random directions until I get it right. If my problem is the whole sealing issue, then I'm not too sure what to do

I have had issues this last period, with my flow being very heavy and getting full too quickly
thus causing some minor leakage. I actually just wore a panty liner for two days to compensate. I'm sure the issue was that it had been 8 months since my last period and so my flow was extremely heavy. I was having to empty like 3 times a day for the first 3 days and each empty the cup was completely full. I wish there was a better solution, but I know the only solution is to get a period every month.

sgordon - maybe a different brand? I've seen some online, and they all are shaped a little differently.

stephanie - still, 3 times a day isn't that bad. Imagine how many tampons you would have been going through. When mine was really bad and I had to be active (cheerleading in high school, or being in a play in college where I couldn't change so often) I would double up and wear two super plus tampons. EW.
