My Mood: Points: 2,146.09 Bank: 192.70 Total Points: 2,338.79 | Menstrual Cycle Days with Metformin? Hey! It's been a long time since I've been back and posted something. I've been wondering about this for a long time, like most of my life so far. I always had monthly menstrual cycles 24-25 days since the beginning of that first 'uh-oh, I'm starting my period' day. I've been on Fortamet for almost a year now (my RE wants to regulate my testosterone and DHEA, they're a bit high). And, I have to admit I've been noncompliant off and on for a bit (which I'm currently trying to change now). One month in January of this year, my period came on the 22nd day and the last time on the 26th day. So, I'm saying to myself "What the heck?" I know I shouldn't expect perfection from my menstrual cycle, but here is my question: What is the ideal menstrual cycle days with metformin or Fortamet? I went to see my nurse practioner and she told me the norm should be 28 days. Also, I'd like to know if you notice that your ovulation days (like cm checks, BBT, etc.) have been longer while on metformin. I've checked every cycle with OPKs and they have been consistently positive on Day 11. I've never been pregnant, so I figured I may have a short ovulation time or there is something else going on. I'm sure it will lengthen when I become more compliant with metformin and diet. Let me know your opinions and experience.
