Anyone have the tummy upset with the met? Is it any better with the ER form?

Oh yeah, lots of tummy upset. I think that's common, that and D.

Mine's calmed down some as I have adjusted to it, unless I have certain foods.

I've heard people on the ER Met. have fewer nasty s/e, but haven't tried it myself.

Upset stomach was the order of the day for me with Metformin. After a couple weeks it did calm down though. I've been on met for about 5 months, and now, I don't ever get the stomach upset anymore.

So far so good for me. I guess because I am only on 500mg, but no stomach upsets as of yet. Just metallic taste, deep sleep ( like knocked OUT), and cramps. Good luck!!
