Default met and AF question

Hi,
I was wondering... I have been on met for almost a year and about 1 1/2 months ago I stopped taking it because I had pneumonia and between the met and the antibiotics I couldnt take all the trips to the bathroom. I have not yet restarted it and have had 2 cycles since I stopped it. I have always have regular AF, but the last year or so it has been really heavy with a lot of clots(sorry tmi)and lasting at least 7 days. The last 2 have been much lighter, I would say closer to "normal". I am assuming the met has been causing the heavy AF, but I dont know what this means. I am planning to resart the met tomorrow, I just dont know if this is normal.
Thanks for listening, any info would be appreciated!

Talking Normal...

Can mean a lot of things to different people. I've been on met for almost 2 years, and I will say that before met, my cycles were more unpredictable...some light and some heavy. Usually, docs don't get really worried as long as whatever they do, they are consistent (within reason). The met can do some strange things in the AF department, and my advice would be that if it does concern you, or you feel this is not normal for you, definitely talk with your doc. It will be interesting to see what happens when you start the met again, if it goes back to the way it was.
