Default Met and BBT Question

Hi all,

Question for those of you who are experienced with this. My BBT seemed pretty low in general since I have been tracking it starting in October. I just did a round of progesterone to induce AF, which I am having now. But at the same time, I self increased my dose of metformin to 1000 MG/day. My temps now seem to be generally higher. I know that progesterone will make the temps increase, but how long does that usually last once AF comes? Looking at other charts, it seems like generally temps decrease during AF, but mine is still higher than it had been. Would increasing my dose of met increase my BBT for any reason? Any thoughts?

Here are my charts: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1194c6

Thanks in advance!

If you're on a med that is altering hormones like met, it stands to reason that your BBT could be affected. I found BBT monitoring very unreliable for me...the month I concieved my son looked exactly like every other month....a mountain range of drops and climbs all through the month. It was nuts. But I had a preschooler I was up and down with all night, so I suspect my temp may have been affected by that.

Good luck to you!

I don't know if met affected mine because I didn't temp before met, but I know that as my cycles are getting shorter I do see small differences in temp range and I can see a pattern to them now. I would try it a bit longer
