Default met and bleeding

Hi happy new year, hope your all well?.

Just a question really?. Im on met 1000mg going up to 1500mg within the next week or so and since i upped to 1000 iv been bleeding on and off for two weeks. Started 4 days after with what i thought was af?. That went away then out of the blue i would pass (sorry tmi) big blood clots bright red blood, then nothing!. That happened twice with no warning over a week ,then iv spotted on and off since and now im medium bleeding so i re started my cycle to the start of that .

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this ?. I was hopeful for ov last cycle till i started bleeding as i started to get signs of ov and my opk's were starting to show a surge but it never got a pos as i started bleeding ?im fed up with the bleeding but want to carry on its not heavy but i want to have a proper cycle not this.

And also reassurance that the bleeding will sort itself out as i get higher in dosage of the met

it is probably your hormones trying to straighten themselves out...i've been on it since october and it has made my period do wonky things! good luck!

yeah, try to stick with it because I immediately got a period once I started too, and then had two very short cycles, barely a few days inbetween without bleeding. Then, this past month I finally had a longer cycle (see my signature). I just completed 3 months on it. As much as it was driving me crazy to have such short cycles, I know my body is trying to figure out what to do!
