Default Met and bloating (ugh)

I've been on 500mg of Met for a month and a half, and I've experienced no negative side effects, except for extreme bloating. When I wake up in the morning I look normal. As soon as I take the Met, my pants get tighter and I look like I'm about to give birth. It's just majorly uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced this, and does it ever go away? Is there anything I can do to alleviate some of the bloating in the meantime?

Glad to hear that you are not experiencing some of the more extreme s/e like nausea and bathroom runs! Too bad that your bloating makes you uncomfotable. If you are only taking 1 tablet per day, what about if you took the tablet before bed so you would sleep off most of the bloating?

I also just started met on Sat, mar 8. I am also not having the "awful" s/e.

I was interested to read your post though because although I do not have bloating like you describe, I have noticed A LOT of gas (TMI!!) about 30 minutes after taking the tablet.

DH though it might be all the veggies we are now eating, but I only notice the "gas" after the tablet!!! I mentioned this in another thread and it was interesting to see that this seemed somewhat common!

Good Luck with it!
