Default Met and breathing problems

Hi I'm having breathing problems on the met !! I stopped taking it
last thursday, 5-18, today is sunday and its still happening. Is this lactic acidosis ??? I took 250 mg for two weeks, there were some breathing problems and then when I went to 500 mg a day, the problem became
more serious. Only took 500 mg for a week before stopping.
I called my DR and I'm not going in to see him till June 8th.

Thanks for any help you can give me !!!!

I don't think it would be lactic acidosis, because it would have gotten way worse by now, and I would think your doc probably would have told you to go straight to the hospital if he thought that's what was going on. However, it may be that you could be having an allergic reaction fo some type to some of the fillers and binders that they use in compounding the drug. Switching to another form of met may help that. I think you were wise to contact your doc right away, and I hope you find out what's doing it!

I would not take the risk of something serious. The odds are so low, but definetly call your Dr if you have any odd side effects. Take care!
