 Met-Food Reaction
Last month I had to go into the emergency room with severe abdominal cramps. I was told that my stomach had actually spasmd and was given some pills for the pain.
The next day I went into my Dr.'s office and met with the nurse practitioner. She told me that foods that are low fat and no-fat can have a reaction with the Metformin. I of course have been eating all kinds of low fat and no fat foods, and the reaction was extreme.
When I told the nurse practitioner that I had been on the medication a year and not once in that whole time had anyone said there was this kind of reaction. She told me that even the diabetic clinic didn't tell people that there was the possibility of a severe reaction.
I am just wondering how many people were told about this and how many people have experienced this reaction. |
