Default met and hot flashes...?

I've been on metformin for a month and have just worked my way up to 1500mg. I'm now having what can only be described as hot flashes. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have hot flashes sometimes, too, but I'm not sure if it's because of the met (I'm on 1000mg/day right now) or because I'm starting peri-menopause. I suppose it IS possible to get hot flashes on met, from the hormonal adjustments your body is making due to your blood sugar balancing out, but I don't know for sure. It might be worth bringing this up with your doctor the next time you see him or her, though.

I, too, am curious to read what others have to say about this...
