I just got my bloodwork back from when I was on 1500mg (I've since moved up to 2250mg) The testosterone initially lowered a little, when I first started out at 500mg, but it hasn't moved more since then. And the insulin hasn't lowered at all. I guess I'll have to wait and see what a difference 2250mg will make but what if met doesn't help me, would I have to go onto something else?
What are you doing to help yourself in terms of diet and exercise? I know met works better for most people if you make those lifestyle changes as well.
Compared to what my lifestyle used to be, I'm doing a lot better. I know I still need to straighten up my eating more, I haven't completely eliminated sweets. But for the most part, I have protien at each meal, I do cardio 2 or 3 times a week, and I've lost about 10 lbs since starting met.
None of your levels have gone down since you started Met?

I agree with Annie. My labs didn't budge in over a year on 1500 mg metformin until I got serious about eating to control my sugars and exercise. Wghen I committed to the lifestyle stuff, it was like a new drug.
Hope it helps!

In my experience the met doesn't work to its full potential unless you pair it with diet and exercise. I would give dieting a full chance for 6 weeks and then have your blood work re run, good luck
