Question Is Met less effective the second time around?

Just wondering...I have not yet started taking met (Glucophage). I've just been reading up on it lately. I've read so many posts here, so I can't remember for sure, but I thought I read that sometimes met doesn't work as well if you start taking it again after trying it once. Is this true? Hope not, in case I need to stop taking it for any reason. I know everyone's experiences differ, however.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think this is true at all. I've started and stopped met 3 times and each time it worked very well for me. Of course, this last time it has taken longer to feel better because my IR had gotten so bad! It definitely works, though.

I have read hundreds of hours on Metformin, Insulin resistance and PCOS in the last 2 years, and I have never seen any indication of this.

Thumbs up

Great! Thanks for responding. I don't know what I'd do without this board.
