I don't know about that but I will tell you that I have been pregnant 6 times, all but my first were conceived using met and out of those, 4 were conceived using met and clomid combined. My 4th pregnancy was (met+clomid) was my first twin pregnancy ( I lost them at 18weeks to ic). A year later I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and stopped using the clomid. I was only on met (a higher dose than before) and insulin. I ended up getting pregnant with my second set of twins. So, maybe there is a possibility???? Not sure.

As far as I know, Met alone doesn't increase the chance of multiples, however, popping out early in pregnancy is not uncommon-hormone spikes early in pregnancy cause bloating in a lot of people. I'm 26 weeks pregnant now, bloated uncomfortably in the beginning, then it eased up at about 12 weeks and I had a few comfortable weeks and now the growing baby is certainly making his or her presence known.

No, Met doesn't cause a higher risk of multiples like Clomid does. That's one reason why doctors like using it.

As for the popping out, I felt around 8 weeks that I was totally popping out and I felt like I'd be showing completely at that rate by 12 weeks. It was just bloat. At about 12 weeks things got better and I'm only now starting to show a little at 16 weeks. I'm actually still in my regular clothes.

congrats!
