I have been taking Met for over a year & I know you don't drink while on Met.. is it OK to use Nyquil??I don't know if there is enough alcohol in Nyquil to cause a problem. I am fighting a big cold and really would like some sleep !!

Hi Kay, don't think there is enough alcohol in that stuff to harm or decrease the effectiveness of the metformin, I could very well be wrong.
Have you tried Sudafed - -aisle five?

Seriously, my friend is suffering from what you describe right now too, it helps her.

I've done it before with no problem. I had bronchitis and took the Nyquil caplets. I just made sure I took my met early enough that I didn't have to worry about a reaction. Feel better soon.
