I've been on gluc/met for over several years. My reproductive endocrinologist has me on "the patch" Birth control and effexor too. My question is why have I gained over 80 pounds since being on all three? Please let me know if you have any info regarding this. I wonder if the patch is counter acting the met/gluc and not letting me lose weight. Does anyone have anything they have taken birth control wise that didn't counter act the met/gluc? I need help. thanks.

I haven't tried the patch, but my mom gained weight like crazy on effexor. They told her that she wouldn't but they were wrong. Other than Yasmin, I have had no trouble combining the pill and met.

What trouble did you have with Yasmin and Met? Was it weight gain? I have just started Met last week and have been on
Yasmin 3 1/2 years. I am already about 100 pounds overweight and I cannot afford to gain any more. Thanks.
