Default Met and peanut butter

I just started taking 500 mg of met (250 mg 2X daily) about a week ago. I had some stomach problems the first 2 days but other than that I've been fine. I do notice though I get that foggy feeling if I have something high carb or sugary. It seems to go away if I have a spoonful of peanut butter. Anyone else notice anything similar?

Default

Hi there, I'm also new on Met. I'm just finishing two weeks.
I too have noticed that too many carbs and/or sugar gets me foggy (off met as well). My RE told me to be careful to always have protein with carbs and not take met with sugary snack.
The protein and the fat in the peanut butter is probably what helps you feel better.
I had been having terrible heart burn on the Met, but someone here suggested I take it with milk and after that no more heart burn!

Thumbs up fats

I have found fats to be my savior in this thing as well as weigt loss on the low carb/met regime. peanuts sunflower seeds slimjims all kinds of things i wouldnt have touched with a ten foot pole in my lowfat days (I mean i was gaining weight trying to diet) I have to stop and think now when did i eat?? i literally can go 10-12 hours if i'm busy and then its headacheville i keep a snack handy and try to remember to eat my fats to keep the lipolysis thing going as well as keep my stomach in the right direction and blood sugars stable. I feel so good now!!
