Hi, and welcome to SoulCysters.
I'm not on Glu, but on Met. Which Glu is practically the name brand for Met.
Without any medication I would probally never have a period. If I'm lucky maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Years ago, I took BC to be regulated, but will never go that route again.
I've had to take provera several times myself, but don't like that either.
I have been on Metformin 2ce. The first time I defiantly had regular periods. It took 3 months to work, and I was on 1500mg a day.
The second time which is now it took me exactly 2 months to get that first period. I'm on 1700mg. a day. I've had regular periods ever since due to the Metformin.
Every cyster that has posted about how long it took for them has varied. Some within 1-3 weeks. Some like me 2-3 months. Some longer, even up to 11 months. I think it depends on the individual.
But the key is not give up. Sometimes it may take longer to get in thier system, for it to regulate you. Hang in there and don't give up.
I was so anxious to get my period I was so discouraged after I still didn't have one after 3 weeks, I thought it wasn't working. But it was working, I just had to give it time.......
Good luck A/F will show up and come knocking on your door eventually.
