Unhappy Met and PMS symptoms...

Hi all,

I think the last thread got lost somewhere across the ether.

I wondered if anyone finds Metformin improves PMS symptoms of anxiety/low mood. I have been having particularly bad patch of this (along with what are probably bloody sugar highs and lows which is another reason I have just decided I started the Metformin.) It is hard to tell sometimes what is PCOS related and what isn't because blood sugar, serotonin etc are all inter-related with hormone balance.
I went to see a specialist last May who said Prozac relieves all symptoms of PCOS, regulates cycle etc. She said she did research on it for PCOS rather than treating depression and she now offers it but recoiled in horror at the idea. The second mediaction on offer was the pill (Dianette) and then Metformin. which it has taken me 10 months actually start. I think Prozac seems an extreme response to PCOS. I'm a very sentitive soul and might not even not respond to it well but when you have low/anxiety symptoms that repeat as mine do seem to I do begin to wonder...?

Any thoughts???
