Default Met question, help please

Hi Girls, I have been taking Met for 4 cycles. It has been wonderful, except for the occassional bout of diarrhea.

Here's my question..

I was out of town for 2 days and forgot my meds. Now I feel real dizzy, headachy, and even a little "fuzzy". Think this could be from Met withdrawl? My guess is it's just a bug or virus going around, but I wanted to ask here 1st.

What do you think??

Thanks everyone-
CathyAnn

It's likely a product of having been off the drug for a few days. Your hormones are probably a little 'off' after a couple of days unregulated and your body probably doesn't know what to do on it's own. I would give it a few days back on your meds and see if it clears up.

Did you eat anything really sugary while off your meds? If your insulin was already unregulated due to no meds, you may have craved some sugar and got the sugar rollercoaster going on. You eat something sugary and your body hikes the insulin. That makes your blood sugar crash and "Dizzy and Headachy" are signs of hypoglycemia. Eat something with some protein and you will be able to increase your sugars without causing that insulin spike to start the rollercaoster over again.

Feel better!

Talking I agree with my evil twin....

I know sometimes, if my schedule is really hairy, and I don't get to take one of my pills at my normal time, I get a bit of the sweats, and I feel kinda light headed. Usually, I get some portein in me, take my pills and I'm fine. I think too that it was due to being off the meds. Your insulin wasn't responding the way it normally would with the met in your system, and you were feeling the effects! Hope you're feeling better now!
