Question Met questions

I have a question that maybe someone can answer. Which vitamins should I be taking that don't have any reactions with the met??

Also does the met make you tired? I have been falling asleep everyday at about 8:00 p.m. which for me is very early.

I just joined a curves gym, does anyone else go to one who is on met? How did you feel?

Thanks,

Vivian

Hi,
You might get more response if you put this on the Metformin board.
I'm currently on Met myself.
Metformin depletes B-vitamins. So I take a B-Complex everyday, which doesn't bother me. I also take Women's One A-Day multi-vitamin, that doesn't bother me as well while on Met. If I were you I would take B-complex and a multi-vitamin.

When I first started taking Met like the first couple of weeks I was tired. But I eventually got more energy from the Met. Eating low-carb, no sugar, and taking my vitamins have helped with more energy while on Metformin.

Good thing you are going to Curves. It is a good idea to exercise while on Metformin. In fact good idea to exercise period. You will also have more energy when you start exercising. Especially when you get into your Curves routine. I don't go to Curves, but I do my own workout program at home, and I feel great.....

Good luck. Hang in there with the Metformin, it is so worth it in the long run.
Take care,

Thanks for your input. I want to stick it out, but I don't want to keep falling asleep so early.

I guess I just have to wait and see how the curves thing goes.

Definetly start taking a B12 supplement. I could barely lift my head on met until I started taking a B12 abd I felt like a new woman and got my energy back. Met can deplete B12 (the energy vitamin) so my Dr checks my B12 every 6 months with my other hormones to make sure it's all good.

Good luck!
