Met and spotting on BCP

Hi Ladies,

I've only been taking Met for about 6 weeks now. I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and I have been spotting A LOT. Could this be because of the Met. I've had very occasional light spotting before, but this is a bit heavier and has lasted about a week (week before I'm supposed to get my period). Has anyone had this happen? Does this mean my pill has stopped working?!
