Default met taking a long time to work?

I know I"m impatient...but I can't help but feel that this is not working. I don't ovulate withouth BCP or provera. I have started Met and I'm up to 2000mg. This is my 2nd month on it. Nothing yet...no AF, no sign of it, no nothing. Soooo, I guess I've been reading too much about people who get PG within 6 weeks of first staring Met! I need to hear from people who were "late bloomers" with MET. Anything would be appreciated! Thanks

I know the feeling....I started Met on September 12, and I just started spotting today. However, my doctor said it normally takes 3-4 months to change your body. He told me not to even "try" until after December. I was hoping I would be one of those miracles, too, that got pregnant in the first 6 weeks. Hang in there! I KNOW there will be a lot of BFP's on here soon!

If you need to chat/vent, let me know. I have been through a lot....see below....and would love to try to help.

I too am on 2000 mg of Met. I started taking it on June 20th, did not have AF until September 6th, then again October 22nd. I also spot between periods, and it has not made me ovulate yet. I go back to the doctor in November, and I am not sure where we will go from there. I am def. not one of those people it worked for immediately!

I was diagnosed with PCOS Nov. 2007. I am a thin PCOS and my fertility specialist didn't think I would handle the side effects well so she only put me on 500mg/day. I had also changed my diet to very low carb. I never got AF on my own. Now I don't know if I would or not. I have been taking so many hormones b/c we are TTC. I am on my second round of IUI. I did have a BFP, but my beta numbers aren't doing what they are suppose to. I go back on Tuesday. Anyone know anything about beta numbers?

I don't know much about beta numbers except this. At my clinic, they like your first beta to be more than 100, 2 weeks after your IUI or transfers. Although, a beta of more than 25 is considered positive in the world of TTC, in early PG. BETA numbers are supposed to double every 24-48hrs when their is healthy development and implantation. What was your beta? Did you do injectables for your IUI?

My beta numbers started out 14dpo at 220. Which is really good, but then they did not double. So I go back tomorrow. Hopefully good news. I will keep you posted.
