I've been ttc 5yrs, irregular cy since coming off bcp in 2000, dx PCOS '04, waiting to start Met after appt with RE.

On clomid (50 and 100) my charts all showed O and af showed up bang on time, but P4 draws on day 21 for all 6 cy showed no O.

If clomid doesnt make me O, do I have any chance of a decent O on met alone?

Sounds like you'd be better off taking met and clomid together. Give the met some time to work. You never know what could happen.

I've read a lot of posts of women who O on met alone. It will take a few months for your body to get used to it, so don't expect instant O. The met/clomid combo is VERY common. Give the met some time to see how it works for you, you can always take them both if you want to.

Before I started Met, I did 2 cycles of Clomid alone. I didn't O either time.

I started Met in April 2002 and O'd exactly 8 weeks later. And I'm talking I haven't O'd in years even though I was getting AF.

Although all of our circumstances are different, I had a blocked tube therefor I wasn't getting pregnant. After I had a saline HSG, I conceived immediately and only on Met. No Clomid, No IUI, No monitoring of any type.
