Hi cysters,
I'm confused...I JUST noticed (yes, I've been on it for two months and JUST noticed) my pill bottle says to take at night. As I was thinking on it, I vaguely remember the endocrinologist saying that would help with side effects. I don't have any side effects anymore so I was wondering if someone knew of another benefit of dosing in the p.m.?

I have never been dx either. I have all the symptoms except for overweight and IR. I take my met ER 1 in am and 2 in pm! My endocronoligist or my gyn gave me Met.I had to go to my family dr........Been on it for 6 months and NO AFs yet,maybe soon!
Hello. Personally I think the reason they say to take it in the evening with dinner is because if it does irritate your stomach, you use the bathroom first thing in the morning and have a (TMI) liquidy BM. That's what I think. Not sure though. I took my pills (1500mg) every evening at 5pm and when I got up the next morning (6am) I was on the toilet. But those problems are gone now. My body is back to normal and I'm still on 1500mg. HTH!!

I take mine with my evening meal. I took it today at lunch just to see how I would do and I've been gassy all day, TMI, sorry. I am going to go back to taking it in the PM again. I am trying to get better about taking it regularly. When I don't I get the side effects all over again.
I take 2 XR's in the am & 1 in the pm, as directed by my doctor. If I'm going to have a bad day bathroom-wise, it's usually confined to the morning. My doctor explained it to me that I need more meds during the day b/c I'm eating more and my sugar/insulin levels would naturally go up & down more than at night when I'm sleeping, so during the day I'd need more regulation. Made sense to me anyway.

I had some bad problems at first when I would take both 750mg pills at one time (in the pm) so now I take one in the am and one in the pm. And have been doing great ever since!
