Hi guys, long time no type, although I have checked the site out occasionally.
Anyway, wondered if any of you have heard of Metasys? Sad person that I am I was watching one of the shopping channels and saw the infomercial which claims to have impressive results - although I am never quite sure how much hype to believe.
The product is green tea extract which has anti-oxidant properties and also is supposed to increase your metabolism.
Internet searches have shown a bmj (british medical journal) article which commented on a woman who had claimed weight loss through using, a couple of clinics in London use it and also Boots sell it (which I think gave it a bit more credibility). Anyway I ordered it from Boots as it was the cheapest because p&P is free over £30 and am now on day 2, so a little early to tell! Would love to hear your stories.
Thanks,
Lisa
Hi Deeds
Sent you an e-mail before saying congrats on your beautiful baby girl - she's gorgeous. Thanks for the note, just been busy doing other stuff so not had as much time to surf, I guess that, in a way, it's good as it means PCOS has not been dominating my life quite so much, but lately symptoms have been getting worse - so here I am again checking out what solutions my cysters have got!!
Cheers,
Lisa
I'm sorry to be a downer on this, (I've put my health care professional hat on) but I wouldn't believe any product that says it can speed up your metabolism. Your metabolic rate can be effected by many different things but to have such an effect to induce weight loss too much.
One other point, just because boots sells something does not make it a good product. Like any company they are just looking to make a profit, and weight loss products are one of the biggest money making businesses there are.
I'm sorry I didn't have anything good to say, but it is something we have recently been studying & I don't want to see you waste your money on something that long term is not healthy and will not give you lasting results.
