Default Metformin?
Hi everyone! I'm new to this site...and have a question. My doctor is going to be starting me on 500mg of Metformin. My problem....I have a really hard time swallowing pills. Can someone tell me the size of this particular pill?? We're working on getting my cycle back (It stopped all together in November) and I'm trying to get pregnant.
Any help would be appreciated!

It is the size of an excedrin pill. I don't know if there are diffrerent sizes out there.

They are about the size of a normal pill, make sure you take them with food whenever possible and do not miss any. The side affects of Metformin on your stomache can be pretty uncomfortable and if you miss taking them you pretty much have to start from scratch.

You may want to go to the board for Metformin. You can find lots of great info there.

They are pretty large...I took them for one year. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if it's possible to order the med in another form like liquid. Some drugs are available in other forms besides pills.
