HELLO,
I FOUND OUT I HAD PCOS A YEAR AGO. MAKES ME WONDER
WHY THEY NEVER MENTIONED IT BEFORE NOW. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE RINGER WITH THE INFERTILITY TESTS. AFTER, ALL
THE WONDERFULL SYMPTOMS CAME ON ME I SEEKED SOME HELP
AND THEY PUT ME ON THE PILL. BUT, NOW MY PERIODS HAVE STOPPED AGAIN AND THE ACNE AND OTHER LOVELY THINGS HAVE
RETURNED WORSE THAN EVER. MY QUESTION IS. I WANT TO ASK
MY DOCTOR FOR METFORMIN BUT I WAS WONDERING IF THEY WILL DENY ME IT BECAUSE I AM NOT DIABETIC. DID ANYONE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS GETTING THE PRESCRIPTION FROM THEIR DOCTOR?
Hi Shortie,
You shouldn't have any problems getting a perscription for Metformin. When they diagnosed me, back in August, my doctor asked me if I wanted to go on it. Back then, I didn't understand what I had, and how it would help. But from this web site, I learned how beneficial it would be. So last week, I asked my doctor and I started it. So ask for it, and if one doctor won't give it to you, then find another.
Good luck, and welcome to the website.
Jenny

seek a new doctor. i am just going to a gynocologist right now. is
there another kind of doctor i should find????
Hi Shortie,
I also had a really hard time trying to get my Gyno to put me on Glucophage, even though it was her office that diagnosed me!! I went to a Dr. That treats infertilty and also PCOS and he put me on it easily, after a thorough examination. Hope this helps.
