Does anyone know if you still take metformin after drilling? i have my op on Monday 18th Nov, going to hospital tomorrow for blood test and pre op chat.

I had drilling done in the end of August and got a slight af 2 days later.

My obgyn wont put me on Met as he says it doesnt always work but I think he knows diddly squat about PCOS.

I want to try it out but doctors here in Ireland are slow about prescribing it. Good luck with the drilling Lynn and its not that bad at all. You will be black and blue afterwards and make sure you take a week off work as you will need it.

Natural surprise pregnancy

I was put back onto Metformin after drilling (2x 500mg daily) and also Prednisone (2.5mg).
I was pregnant three months after surgery and gave birth to my son less than a year after having the drilling procedure. A year after having ds I am now pregnant again and have only taken the Met and Prednisione.
For me the drilling was the best thing ever.
