Are the medicine my endo prescribed me

Avandamet ( i think this is under Glitazone + metformin combo)2mg /500mg
----1 tablet after breakfat

Metformin (imax) 500mg
----1 tab after supper

Why these 2 combination? I've read that ur suppose to take only metformin and if that didn't work, take glitazone (avandia,etc)

Accdg to her taking liver/kidney tests are not necessary since this is only a low dosage. Is that right?

And she thinks that i wont' experience bad side effects...
