Red face Metformin, B12 & Fatigue

My DR listened to what I had read recently and decided to try changing my Metformin dosage from 1000mg morning and night (2000mg total per day) to just 1000mg at night. The change is being made in the hopes that it will reduce my levels of fatigue. She also checked my B12 levels and found them deficient so I started taking an extended release B12 supplement.
It has been a week now since the change in dosage and the beginning of the B12 and I am still extremely tired off and on throughout the day. Once in a while it seems like I get a small burst of energy but it never lasts long.
I had been taking 2000mg per day of Metformin since October...and it seems like the fatigue has worsened in the last few months. It makes it really hard to get through a day at work...especially when my workday sometimes lasts up to 12 hours when you include driving time.
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I can do to increase my energy? I have been told I can't take any of the energy-boosting supplements due to high blood pressure. DR even said NO to the One Source Complete vitamins with Green Tea and Cranberry extracts from WalMart. No caffeine-containing herbs or other stimulants that can affect my BP.
I'm frustrated and tired...not to mention feeling fat, bloated and irritable.

...Luna

Default Hmm

I take a B-50 supplement, and that's helped with my energy level (it's got B-12 in it). Maybe ask your doc about switching to an overall B-vitamin supplement? Or upping your B-12 dose? When I started exercising, I got huge energy boosts for the rest of the day. Hope you figure this out - it sucks to be too tired to live!
